5 Extraordinarily Simple Businesses For Stay At Home Moms to Master
Stay-at-home moms have a lot on their plate, but many want to make money too. How do you have your cake and eat it too? Below are my top 5 businesses, that yes, stay-at-home moms can own.
Start your own business. I know it sounds overwhelming.
It’s easier than you think.
Today, moms start businesses every day and most of them are online. With a computer, internet connection, and a passion, you too can start your own business.
Here are a few of my favorite ideas, besides my personal favorite, blogging!
1. Sell Items on Amazon
Oh how we all love Amazon, right? Now you can make money on Amazon rather than spend it. This is a great business opportunity for the savvy shopper.
Start selling items you don’t need. Books, CDs, electronics – you know Amazon sells everything. Check out how others price the same item and competitively price yours.
As you sell things around your house, bank the funds. Use the money to buy more products. Buy items on clearance or sale, sell them on Amazon for a higher price, and pocket the profit.
This is great for deal seekers. Shopping and earning profits – does it get any better?

2. Be a Social Media Manager
Do you have an incredible social media following? Businesses need you. Manage their social media accounts, grow their audience, and/or run ads for them.
Social media managers charge high prices and get it because businesses know they need a social media presence.
If the responsibility of managing an account is too much, be an influencer. I started out and built mine from the ground up!
Companies pay people with large social media followings to talk about their products/services. Create social media posts, videos, or blog posts and share it with your audience and make decent money.
3. Transcribe Audio
If you have an ear for detail, transcribe audio into written word. Transcribing used to be a medical industry thing, but today it’s more than that.
Thanks to technology, most industries use transcribers. Speakers want blog posts from their seminars, law firms need conversations in text form, and podcasters need a written form of their speeches. Another business opportunity that can be done in your spare time at home.
4. Be a Pinterest Assistant
Yes, you can make money pinning beautiful images!
Businesses recognize the power of Pinterest but don’t understand it or have the time for it. If you have graphic design expertise and a bit of a marketing background, start a business creating ‘pins.’
Create the pins, post them, and create a marketing plan that helps businesses grow and you’ll be in high demand.
5. Be a Freelance Writer
If you love writing, business owners need you. Web content, blog posts, and sales pages don’t write themselves. Business owners either don’t have time or aren’t skilled writers (everyone has their thing).
Offer your services on a freelance basis. Choose the rates, turnaround time, and services you’ll provide, and you can have a profitable business.
There are thousands of strategies for stay-at-home moms to own. Write down your passions, what you would love to do, and make a business out of them. Women-owned businesses not only bring in money, but they’re empowering too. Join the movement and create the life of your dreams, making financial freedom, make it your reality too.
